The short version

Arcweight is built on a minimal-data principle: we collect only what's needed to make the product work, and nothing else.

What our servers store

• Account basics. Your name and email from Google sign-in. No password — authentication is handled entirely by Google.
• Your ratings. For each connection you've rated: their name, their LinkedIn profile link, the rating you gave (Strong / Medium / Weak), and when you rated them.
• Your tags and notes. Private annotations on your connections. These are never shared with or visible to any other user — that promise is written into our User Agreement.
• Billing, if you subscribe. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number.

What never leaves your browser

• Your LinkedIn connections export (the CSV you upload for bulk rating) — parsed locally, stored only on your machine.
• Contact lists you upload for the sharing features — matched locally, never transmitted.
• Name lists you paste into Match a List.

Until you rate someone, Arcweight's servers have no record of them — even if they're in a file you've uploaded to your browser.

Who can see your ratings

• By default: nobody. Your ratings are private to you.
• Path Sharing is opt-in and tiered. If you turn it on, your ratings become visible only to connections that you have rated at or above the tier you choose (Strong only, or Strong + Medium), where paths through you appear. You control the switch and the tier at all times.
• Answering an Ask is explicit. When someone asks how well you know a specific person, you see exactly who's asking and about whom, and you choose whether to answer. Nothing is shared without that choice.

What Arcweight doesn't do

• No reading your email, calendar, or messages — we don't ask for that access and don't want it.
• No scraping your network into a central database.
• No selling or sharing your data with third parties.
• No ads.

Relationship strength in Arcweight comes from one source: your own judgment. That's the product.
